Nike’s attention-grabbing “Viotech” colorway has been enjoying a great deal of renewed interest lately, as after it was revealed that the popular Nike Dunk Low would return this fall, it’s now been announced that an with a “Viotech 2.0” palette is scheduled for a July release. Presenting an upper that features much more suede than you’d usually see on the AM90, a shoe that usually opts for a combination of mesh, synthetics, and leather, this Tinker Hatfield-designed pair of Nike shoes is unquestionably just as striking in construction as it is in colorway.

The “Viotech” moniker is provided by the rich purple on the toebox, while further colored accents are provided by classic green and blue suede overlays plus a base made up of peach fabric. A black heel badge with yellow logos and black trim tone down the look just enough, while a grey tongue with a black leather patch plus a plentiful helping of yellow accents scattered throughout both the upper and midsole round the look off.

Just as the Air Jordan 1 gears up for its 1985 recreation, its close-in-age cousin, the , preps for its 30th anniversary with a meticulous return to OG form. Shape, details, and everything down to the stitch is seemingly ripped right from the past in a scheme of classic color blocking. Though not quite the famed “Infrared,” the pair swaps out the ever-potent warm hue with the staple “Volt,” placing it atop the standard ribbed supports at the vamp, tread, heel tab, and the surroundings of the Air bubble.

Midsoles, left neutral, match much of the core mesh whose fabrication almost bears a jacquard pattern in close connection to the own materials. Sultry suede overlays, laid down underneath the signature black leather mudguards, dye in a smooth grey with the blending check taking on a curvature just a touch more round. Nylon tones continue at the insole and tongue lining, the latter of which adopts a nylon material in another subtle nod to history.
