Over the past several years , the Miami Dolphins have increased the amount and variety of activities for fans to enjoy inside and outside the stadium prior to the game. complete with a stage, live music and a bar with $2 Bud Lights. The space features a rustic looking Tiny House, live music, overhead string lighting, grand entryway, tailgating games and the 16’ Bud Light Beacon photo opportunity. Also, a dedicated Bud Light Backyard Bar will be providing free Bud Light to the first 200 fans while continuing to serve Bud Light, Bud Light Lime and Bud Light Orange for only $2 right up to kickoff.Another option for fans is the Sunshine Health Activation, located at the 300 Concourse Level in front of section 343. Sunshine Health represents the “Ambetter” and “Allwell” health care plans for the state of Florida. During the activation, they have a prize wheel that fans can spin and win cool prizes such as hand sanitizers , phone silicon stand and LED keychain. They are also raffling off an autographed football from one of our Miami Dolphins players.Finally, one of the biggest events for various community groups is the Football Unites tailgate. For the third consecutive year, Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross and Dolphins players will host Football Unites: Tailgates to strengthen relationships between community leaders, youth and law enforcement. Each tailgate will take place before Dolphins’ regular season home in addition to today vs. the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium.The tailgates feature giveaways, games, food and a live DJ with educational components designed to create dialogue and foster positive relationships and unite groups of different races, genders, sexual orientation and identities to help level the playing field in South Florida.Organizations from the Football Unites grant program including 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, Art Detectives, Community Justice Project, Inc., Miami Gardens Police Department , National Organization of Black Law Executives South Florida Chapter (NOBLE), North Miami Police Athletic League, North Miami Beach Police Athletic League, Pridelines, SAVE, Trayvon Martin Foundation, Urban League of Broward County and YWCA Miami will take part in the programThe tailgate initiative stems from a solution-oriented town hall hosted in the fall of 2016 by the Dolphins and the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) during which players and local leaders discussed actionable steps that could be taken to address issues of racial inequality and unite the community. Founded and created by Ross in Oct. 2015, RISE harnesses the unifying power of sports to improve race relations and drive social progress.
